jonas_brothers

Teen sensation Jonas Brothers will be burning up the summer concert circuit again this year. The Jonas Brothers World Tour 2009 begins June 20 at the new Dallas Cowboys Stadium in Dallas, TX, and ends August 31 at Scotiabank Place in Ottawa, ON.

The family friendly pop act will hit more than 40 cities across the U.S. and Canada during the trek, which also features concerts in select South American and European cities. Highlights for the tour include a June 27 concert at Rose Garden Arena in Portland, OR, a July 17 performance at TD Banknorth Garden in Boston, MA, and an August 14 show at Toyota Center in Houston, TX.

The tour will head north of the border for a total of six shows, including a June 30 event at General Motors Place in Vancouver, BC, and an August 29 stand at Bell Centre in Montreal, QC. American Idol winner Jordin Sparks and special guest Honor Society will provide support throughout the tour.

“This tour is going to be about really connecting with our fans,” said Joe Jonas in a statement. “We’ve got new music that’s taking us in new directions plus a mind-blowing production that’s going to surprise everyone. We want to give the audience the summer concert they’re not going to ever forget.”

Jonas Brothers will tour behind the June 15 worldwide release of their latest album, which is currently untitled. The sibling trio’s Platinum-certified 2008 release “A Little Bit Longer” topped the Billboard 200 for two weeks.

I received a few questions about when the tickets would be going on sale. According to the Jonas Brothers, tickets in select markets go on sale March 20th (or March 16th if you’re a Fan Club member) and the rest of the dates go on sale March 28th.

If tickets sell out before you get them, you can always purchase tickets from a ticket broker, like the one in our blogroll section! Thanks!

Can’t wait to see the band this summer. The stage setup will be intense.

“The Jonas Brothers World Tour 2009″ will present the band’s most ambitious production yet and will include a massive 140-foot plus stage centered in the arena that aims to give a larger number of Jonas Brothers fans a closer, more interactive live concert than they’ve ever experienced before. The show will feature cutting edge technology used in a one-of-a-kind circular water screen, multi-color laser effects, motion automated video screens, a giant crane levitating over the audience plus other surprises that will bring the tour to the next level of concert entertainment.
